Development Review Guidelines
Subject Content and Coverage
- Is the subject of this proposal important and timely? Is it presented in a fair, unbiased manner?
- Is the table of contents logically organized? Could the order of presentation of topics be improved? If so, how?
- Are all key topics included and given adequate coverage for the book's intended presentation? Has undue emphasis been given to some topics?
- Can you suggest added (or deleted) topics that might make the book more useful?
Subject Presentation
- What specifically are the proposal's strengths? Weaknesses?
- Are the writing style and level of presentation of this proposal appropriate for the intended audience?
- Does the same material read well? Is it easy to understand with each topic logically leading into the next?
- Does the material appear to be original? Is any borrowed information given proper credit?
- If illustrations or examples are included, how would you rate them? Do they reinforce the key points and concepts? Are other illustrations needed?
