The Manuscript Development Process

To help assure the most successful and user-friendly final text, your manuscript will undergo a development review by an independent industry representative appropriate to your topic. The reviewer will look at your manuscript for issues of acceptable content, organization, and reliability. These reviews are generally very helpful, as they can provide the author with ideas for content additions or different perspectives that will make the book most helpful to the end-users.

In order to make the best use of these reviews, it is especially important that authors submit their manuscripts according to the development schedule. By submitting chapter clusters for review early in the process, the author can receive helpful information that can be applied to later chapters, reducing the potential need for rewrites after the manuscript is completed.

Here is a sample of the questions reviewers are asked to consider when reading your manuscript.
